JERUSALEM - Israel is sending disaster relief to China.5 ~1 G. K; u B9 g/ O6 s) U/ M5 Z

Foreign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel says a plane is on the way to southern China carrying clothing, medical supplies, generators and tents for victims of the May 12 earthquake.

Mekel estimated the shipment was worth US$1.5 million and said it was due to arrive in China later today.
