I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof. 2 |/ U% |7 \, ^! } 3 K" D+ d* A7 v+ ^9 T& ASo just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder: 2 d/ @! O* e$ H9 }) S% t 0 q! `, G* ^# n- ]0 eDocuments and Setting\(your user name)\cookie or folder system32 to see what kind of adware\sypware already in your system ! S5 l7 N1 Q) N4 h$ P) D! All of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration. + s- V, G0 l+ {& A) K3 X' W0 {8 P/ P: D
I am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
