I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof. * n3 J& h% }% q6 Z& g: i! b7 I. E8 K' K3 u1 M: U
So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder: / }! I* I0 ~/ a* @% L+ y( a( N4 e" i8 X
