9 o$ B9 E$ g2 K) N4 Y * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region
6 c/ u9 L! i2 C# y. e/ j4 D * Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group d, t! A( k7 n6 v1 v# o/ K
* Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators# J0 P9 H# [- X. r- g- E) P
* Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations' B, F* ?3 j6 h
* Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director
& _, I4 @$ A0 |. T7 x * Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses

+ b. l# n, `$ S: M' U! m * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline! U! @' L9 ?# h! n
* Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth1 @' O8 O, H: M) n
* Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies& Z# o; x+ ~, y& M, W8 f
* Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs
, |5 B0 M# G/ \) y$ B * Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community
$ V4 ~% G. l+ f * Fundraising skills an asset

* Proven leadership, and strong team, and relationship building skills
