Duties: i c/ h- \2 ~. h2 i
% A/ a% \6 s5 w) t, q * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
1 }/ n6 I0 k- y2 f8 _# T3 U * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities/ H1 y5 p; L0 G
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
4 J, j. `5 x9 g' n* E * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
& @- ^' P& r/ h * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders, t) r, ^/ W# o Y9 G2 a6 [
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
g V" Q, B G W; E i * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs% i7 m0 G3 Z) }: s- G
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
6 W' d6 m& j! }/ g+ o! @ * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies! s: {0 X! g/ y9 E7 t* k' K: k) Q

Qualifications
6 z1 l* n& _: f/ |, `1 x _' z
: q: Y) q/ {: z' s) {) j4 O * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
2 N* ~ c. j! y9 f * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
2 x* ?: X7 K& ]9 G: L8 J$ |! ^ * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
! {0 _' a& Q! z6 ^+ J9 n * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies. ^8 l1 n7 e O% j
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
/ S6 k! o8 b4 P% _2 A * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning, X* p$ H c- O+ x
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
