Job Description

Full time position (35 hours each week)

7 q# w. D4 i: M9 yJob Description – Responsibilities
6 `* O2 y4 v5 R4 |0 G8 }& S•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
0 s+ Z0 {% M# ^5 @$ [1 e•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
) n/ M7 E4 |0 p0 N1 v•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
% ~3 S# _5 \+ v! i3 H•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
3 b; J0 A- x, U3 a+ Q•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
; q5 H+ Q" f( O& {' h•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

Qualifications
•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn
