Job Description
Position: Youth Services Manager
Full time position (35 hours each week)

1 g% ~# ]! I% [/ T) G+ ]# w1 |Job Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
; t) S0 }( T$ @. O. q4 X# e- ^6 U•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
. A& e7 ^" n& q( j' s) Q* z•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
5 t* D( h& h# P5 n& m•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
- I7 Y( @) y* a( Z$ H% w; `7 t•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
. N& W: d" A& w9 x0 K•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
* x* O3 E, }# f•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
( J( ^7 }! L! h" L/ h/ y9 J•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
, b- x+ L, _- J: Z0 K" j' C•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

2 T* m" K1 D% r/ d: E( S) G8 D9 tQualifications
•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
6 s( G! u8 V' q; c9 Q/ {•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn

•        requires police security check at the expense of employee and child welfare check
