The City of Edmonton Bylaw #13145 defines a "restricted dog" as any dog:

That has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal causing physical injury and resulting in a conviction under this bylaw
% X0 w0 R1 S* |: }8 IThat has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal on more than one occasion, with or without causing physical injury, and resulting in separate convictions under this bylaw ; r6 J' K! f+ S0 U$ @) q# V
That has been made the subject of an order under the Dangerous Dogs Act
& M/ p8 k, |: yCertified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed Staffordshire Bull Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club 8 Q" ~2 c* j4 t: w; c$ \" L
Certified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed American Staffordshire Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club
