                     Adherence to laboratory safety standards

Requirements:          Permanent Resident or Citizen of Canada
( \7 T7 I1 |8 N% L1 ]6 I- L/ X                     Good command of spoken and written English
                     Certificate of competence in Laboratory Technology from a recognized Canadian Institution
6 P# }0 S6 l( F) S: x, I+ \" H                       or a foreign equivalent Prior experience in a medical or scientific laboratory setting
                       an asset Weekend duty on a rotational basis
Availability   :       Immediate; probational specialized training period of 6 weeks

Position           :   Laboratory Assistant Part-Time (6hrs. /day)

Responsibilities:      Preparation of Cord Blood Collection Kits
; R% r( A' T  U' W( e5 |# t                     Pick-up and documentation of collected cord blood units
                       Processing and documentation of laboratory inventory and data  
# h0 Z& h* h" w% ?' E: _8 k1 A                       Maintenance of laboratory equipment
3 O& Z3 `# R4 a8 N                     Maintenance of liquid nitrogen freezers
                     General laboratory maintenance
Requirements:     Permanent Resident or Citizen of Canada
                     Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
                     Good command of written and spoken English
                     Computer literate
                     Prior experience in a medical or scientific laboratory an asset
