The contractors charged are the Compass Group of Canada, which ran the camps, and Rodney McCabe, whose now-defunct company operated the two wastewater plants." n: w! L3 w5 P/ }

Environment Minister Rob Renner says the charges were laid after a routine audit found problems with the sewage discharge into the Athabasca River.

McCabe and Compass are refusing comment, but a Suncor spokesman says the sewage likely had very little impact on the water quality in the river.
