A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.4 Z: S2 t$ n: z/ {* c* a7 R
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and
8 M! }: \/ W# U4 Iknowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1). b' d' ]$ P4 \4 w& U
• Standard Child Care First Aid
/ A( u5 b7 d4 Y( W- E• WHMIS& i1 C1 v" s9 N+ |2 y6 ?
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
: r- d) Z. {- C& R• Components to improve communication skills! d2 D% R' g' d% g7 z. k( c
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search
/ A Z4 m5 J# y) \3 u, E• Practicum Placements
6 r& f: F1 {" M- s$ \Eligibility Criteria& ]+ e" |5 `3 ^1 e
• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen( v& I8 _1 \& b, z
of Canada" g+ s, t8 g% u7 v- G X
• have a Social Insurance Number
, d. b, p3 s) B• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
4 j, U( J. A, b. T* q1 J• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent* [2 {7 t7 G, M0 ?
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time3 t2 |2 r; U1 g' \' z

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet
) q! N9 F8 y! `" L4 J+ V: {the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
( m/ C% v( @+ z! j" h* o• be unemployed or underemployed.: `0 u8 H0 A+ b& g
They CANNOT quit their job to take the course
