A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)
) G4 v+ c& ]( P* _) X- i: J6 c$ Z• Standard Child Care First Aid
5 Y, A+ [- L4 c U& y! ?7 q• WHMIS# b7 w+ [9 ^' ]: C! M* U0 u; ]# u
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
6 D; s% M1 M8 V5 s: `+ o. A3 a* f• Components to improve communication skills6 k' e0 b, g$ G A
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search8 ~ a/ S8 C* @" } y* Z6 \3 r, f
• Practicum Placements% Z6 h" Z% Q0 G: u) i9 P. s% M) @
Eligibility Criteria' U2 y, {+ |% A: s$ b7 N
• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
" K1 ~/ u0 E& i& Lof Canada
" _ `4 l+ ^+ L, t• have a Social Insurance Number' i. H, m: b& {" {, ?* p0 ?
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check7 ^6 f7 G2 v4 _) P2 S3 `4 r
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent d4 X8 P4 f2 ~% P6 M
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet4 z) l+ t h6 B8 p. i$ T3 z
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:

1 o& c7 N$ f& u/ MThey CANNOT quit their job to take the course/ U6 `3 e# b4 J
• meet the financial eligibility criteria
