Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
+ o/ z$ y- z; T; j* U$ `- Organize focus group(s)
) X( Q/ @: Q: l9 s$ {1 i- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
7 j% }8 T* g" R( K( b+ [- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
3 B8 b) a4 k5 m: N6 l1 j5 l$ @) V- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

1 ^) w' s2 ~5 B- p; ~Qualifications:

' K9 f) T. d$ E) K' c1 q- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
' V6 q4 \' }7 j3 c- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
; _) c: x5 M/ S% _# Z4 d  z- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
5 B9 h' A; X4 F( N  ~- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
