Duties

3 s9 s  \5 o$ u1 c0 c6 B; @+ I) _2 u    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
) Q& C" e; }! B8 _$ s$ P    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
" G, i: O7 d( B. q5 J! p& V    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

Qualifications

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
* x) l0 V& T) S5 \: `本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。


好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
# c8 @( l1 V4 qSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
