9 ?- i( b' Q0 y) x! C, Q * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications1 V y: `" n; ^
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis8 a7 L: q+ _4 G! v' X
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
* l6 O5 N4 i( f. W( J * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
: _0 u E, W/ ]( W0 c9 C * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment
