9 ?- i( b' Q0 y) x! C, Q    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
* l6 O5 N4 i( f. W( J    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
: _0 u  E, W/ ]( W0 c9 C    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
9 L8 ~& d7 d+ \: E  k6 M    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
/ Y/ v# w4 O2 d4 R. c; t% l1 a' vSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
% S+ R& w& x- T3 h8 Bwage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
