Position: Home Visitation Coordinator / Terms: Permanent Full-Time, 35 hrs. week / Start Date: ASAP / Salary Range: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour + Benefits such as Health & Welfare Trust Fund, WCB coverage, mileage / Probation Period: 3 months / Application Deadline: 04.17.09 or until suitable candidate is found.

' ?' x" z% _8 D( uAbstract: Mill Woods Family Resource Centre Society offers a long-term Home Visitation Program that provides weekly in-home support to families with children under the age of 5 and those with pre-natal needs. The Coordinator will be responsible for: day to day operation of program; supervision of 4 Family Home Visitors; and provision of some frontline service.

% T5 i4 ^# n* F2 gDesired education, experience/skills: a minimum of a 4 year degree in a related human services field; administrative & supervisory experience/working in partnership with colleagues & other service providers; 3 years experience working with families/children, including those who are marginalized and/or culturally diverse; solid knowledge of child development and family dynamics; knowledge in maternal and infant health and knowledge in prevention of child abuse and neglect.

) ^1 y9 P& p$ W: Q: Q8 b8 @In addition: experience providing support to families in their homes is desired; familiar with community resources to facilitate appropriate referrals; Team player; computer literate; proficient verbal/written English; experience parenting own children an asset.
