Responsibilities:
) p/ z6 Y7 \; P# t, R- m h- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
) o+ x6 }. s$ }3 k (ages 6 to 15)
9 d% V& i7 e) f* u% W- Recruit children for summer programs% e9 [* o+ l3 x6 _* V
- Recruit volunteers for summer programs
+ C- F4 @5 c6 r- Record keeping
0 J% V c# ]' A* V# a. i- l- Provide orientation for parents$ n. w7 E& p a
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
9 v, ]6 L; C1 T7 n+ V0 P- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

. C0 Z# {: W7 s8 JQualifications:
6 t6 @" s i+ ?2 Z* w4 w- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
/ ^% Y2 t" y; S* F- }* w1 ~& t- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
) {- u* L4 T/ v7 }- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
/ D: |- z, X- Q6 k2 x- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
" \) m8 v2 Q/ J$ o) s# a% g, ^' d- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
5 N# H8 o. t1 p. J* R- J- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
5 a- y4 q. m7 Z. c7 u- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
4 C' K3 N% H6 g$ @2 d E4 t n- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

Other Information:
& r6 D# n, |6 v7 U: z( U a4 `$ u- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)
7 {" x3 p4 B4 b1 ^! o7 J and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps); _$ h8 I1 P) R7 b9 V( f8 \! J; y
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
