Youth Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Youth Program Coordinator in the preparation and
7 n- i' N8 ~: _        implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer program
+ f1 W: g" S' R( R- Q-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Youth Program Coordinator

' m, L+ w, h! R5 S2 kQualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
        Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
$ N8 z5 W$ Q; F8 D5 C( N8 i-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
. k' w9 C1 i7 F0 }- y-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
" p, k. v7 u; G" s% W9 m-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
6 v/ u8 t7 I" `-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Returning student (should return to school after summer)
9 E* H9 g9 K8 l' s# [-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
        and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)

Salary
-        $14.00 per hour
