Job Description
( H9 r' y& G, ~" L& GSummer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
7 w1 }1 M. n' w, Q/ ?5 G9 |0 {- Organize focus group(s)
: ^/ O5 W* M4 x9 w- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
6 ^) a# Q/ i# I2 A: E- Recruit children for summer program
- h8 K4 O/ y- l* b  ~- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:
) N6 X! M1 ?; \) A
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
0 N6 n4 t2 R% h" @. l- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
+ ^6 X: F- N8 j9 D" E" v- good computer skills
2 d6 X1 @, i# R2 K- leadership abilities
0 }2 G- s; D. f  M8 ^- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
