Has the following summer position available: June 1 – August 16, 2005 (40 hours per week)

Housing Program Worker

Key Responsibilities:
/ j% b+ S% s5 Z4 a5 \! w" K To plan, organize and implement residential and housing support programs for adults and families who access the YMCA’s Transitional Housing Program.
 To assist residents to register for on-site housing and support programs
 To help promote the program in the community.
 To provide some evening and weekend program supports.
 To supervise volunteers assigned to the program.
4 Z0 O  ^" K  G9 C9 o' ? To document assigned activities and prepare reports as necessary.
 To operate within the approved budget and follow all YMCA Policies and Procedures.
& y" J/ N; |6 B: R To contribute as a member of our staff team in the operation of the Transitional Housing Program.

Qualifications:  (Applicants must meet all qualifications to apply)
/ \/ @4 z; a0 s. W2 e# M, G 2 years education as a post secondary student in Human Services or Social Work
 Experience in human services, social housing and/or work with high needs populations.
 Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
 Current CPR and First Aid certifications
 Completed, current & cleared Child Welfare Check & Police Security Clearance
