summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from * S6 y) K C" ~2 i+ U( _

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern . m' C/ M- ?. J1 t% V

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the ! |- n/ W% c, n' @
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as & Z. m+ I5 v7 _' J# U
well as the script, magazine and book library. 8 d$ p& i( b" p h0 A) H
+ C* j" w, ^( [& ]Duties: 6 n, \+ K* |# r. Z
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 7 N; E5 C0 ]; O9 K6 |( p: J: l% u
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
5 ~0 v, j$ c+ c& q+ U- Implement a catalogue template for future use 3 s; p+ {" p, C. f
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
1 |; W, V* c! t( X; D4 d* @& s- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred & I8 }7 R' A! ^' {# a0 V
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
