FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
7 @2 Y5 w& `4 y4 B4 @# fFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 4 B& b+ W" v* _8 n: F( G: _% R
well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
) V* b; h/ B) w! i- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
" w) @, e8 B4 J/ h- n0 V8 {- Implement a catalogue template for future use - I# Q: |( _& a) N3 c
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ( _) K7 h, X# p$ A1 C
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable # U( o+ ?4 t) ]/ o) i

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
& h$ H" F( T; Q! V) ^- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts O4 t- {5 \3 f# t9 S! O
- Strong organizational skills ( z6 {% l2 b2 }2 |. w0 Q
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
& d: v& e# E4 c/ B( l# o- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors 0 u7 |' ~+ J( f
