動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.$ K2 o. `8 K. |9 P! R/ r4 l
我在「塔杰」商店閒逛時,看到收銀員將一些錢退還給小男孩。

The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

這男孩不過5、6歲。

The Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '8 C: L6 \0 b; H; x( P

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,$ H, l/ h# g: d+ D& j) `$ P7 I
are you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '

The old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '3 K9 l& q* H; |; B
老婦人回道:「親愛的!你知道買這個娃娃的錢是不夠的。」7 `5 |0 h$ M2 |% W

7 t8 d  g! ]* G, i* ^/ \. _
* @% c% B; y4 g3 f! S9 nThen she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly., `3 m5 R1 D$ }: y; K) W$ G5 r

8 K* g6 ]8 @; ^8 R* q) \  [5 @I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.

But he replied to me sadly. ' No, Santa Claus can ' t bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there. '9 m/ q2 M% D. A7 l4 k3 x( @' v/ i

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ' My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister. ' '

My heart nearly stopped.
0 s0 D" m$ w. E0 Z0 }6 ~1 q6 t5 K我的心臟幾乎要停止了。

The little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '* \0 j" K, X5 ^8 A  T- N9 j$ `8 [
小男孩看我說:『我叫爸爸告訴媽媽現在不要走,讓她等我從購物中心回來。』

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

+ z8 H- u  M1 q' i'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
) r# S6 r) u7 y) X# M6 L; Q4 I『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。9 M& A, w, J7 C8 O4 I& N! M6 a

  o5 |6 @* m; s( C2 KThe little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '

+ w2 i- }1 k3 ~- }. H4 ^
Then he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '  t/ R# s( R8 M, d
然而他看著我補充說『昨晚睡前,我要求上帝讓我的錢能足夠買這個娃娃,因此媽媽能將它帶給我妹妹。祂聽見我了! 』

'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn ' t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. ' '1 ^/ O0 Q: g/ o4 x

『我也想有足夠的錢買一朵白玫瑰給我媽媽,但我不敢要求上帝太多。但祂給的錢足 買娃娃和一朵白玫瑰了。』

I couldn ' t get the little boy out of my mind.. U4 h6 M" h( h+ P0 a$ C

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young
, c& b1 |$ g% V" c9 J% N5 }woman and a little girl.3 }6 k& s7 R+ M7 z( M
我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。

The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical7 x  r5 f( q+ j- Z. G! L, h1 L7 p1 j
state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the
$ x# H+ y* v0 ilife-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.
( r1 x* y; d9 Z( F3 a0 l小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.+ Q: M6 c) R0 n, o5 x4 k1 u

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
% q3 q6 E, g! h: O8 Z# M0 P2 O我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。0 U6 s+ m4 O$ _8 {; z

: ^/ Z! n( E3 ~8 _7 D& oShe was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.) A! ?5 y- |8 a: L. h& R3 a9 P

9 V% ^" q' q" f& [7 a/ ?I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
