# S4 Z( k% I3 c+ o# k6 `2 [9 [! LBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

4 E. Q& P9 J) A) j' mKey Responsibilities Include
* U3 H/ @6 [. I7 B. O% sActivity Planning and Daily Activity
- ]4 @2 Q$ v3 ], e• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership." T8 q! @0 y$ j9 V' q
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. ! [' @, @: O/ _1 |! B A, \
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, 3 V3 a' e3 l* J; _; {4 g5 D6 T
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
( {: K" a/ b$ f- [" N4 b• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.- H, {& p H9 i7 i0 i& B- d
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.- Q" X6 o6 H5 }5 H4 M6 \

The successful candidate will have:
4 }, o: o9 ]6 b• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting' w0 V& n; L( I' [! ^, ]: S) o
• Experience with children: k( a, z# y! X. z
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
, }% S( n2 b3 [' Y+ s0 M1 x! X! P6 @6 i• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
+ E" R, C1 |" \; |• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.

• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check 4 z3 E) { x: z
• A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
