0 k% K8 S( b; [+ L, `( J1 uBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students

Key Responsibilities Include
# Q3 \$ X- F" J- E" pActivity Planning and Daily Activity4 v. P& \* }6 A2 u; Y7 K! a, a- G
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
, G" [, u k6 T' X2 L• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
; x, D* x, K' r) O* J' M3 A- U• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, 5 R/ ]4 r3 \" `2 n3 m" v
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
. ?5 T- ?0 F# \+ ]$ R; w) Z7 {% E• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.. i( g7 B9 R5 z6 A: w
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
+ w A8 H; w0 [/ U8 R• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
- q7 P% o; t z$ O• Experience with children2 i4 b i! i1 v {
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
9 T0 M$ _: M- ~2 v- A3 e• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
1 T0 X" O2 {2 z1 K• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.7 |( [9 v- J' q
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
* S- V7 i; i( e• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check ( Q: R% y# l% o: s+ `$ Y! Z
• A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
