Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

% q: q+ o2 R. C) _4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff
(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

$ \; x* X- c& s4 }. w, c; w" XKey Responsibilities Include:
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
; H* h5 o" A+ Z2 ^: q1 I•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
' `2 W: W, f$ ?/ o•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
% M7 \/ a, c9 Q% f9 o; K•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
6 x. T; h* L! @& x/ M6 }•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
8 M* R  `) X# J3 S* L5 s- ^•        Experience with children
" C. S- a' y0 A% T: I•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
9 V0 J6 v& S- r3 X•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
; u( d4 Q7 D. {! H, h•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
% k' R/ R, n: R5 d+ T; M0 e; R•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
, Z$ t0 S3 |) G•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
