: L3 @: J  \3 d* M' @1 Q8 vBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

1 x' }: l9 j' ~4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff
. r" P  P& S( [+ \% E+ w: `" P5 Y! w(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

Key Responsibilities Include:
$ `/ k$ e$ r' i; B7 A' IActivity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
. w* U) X  b8 }; Q/ y3 d: |! C•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
* v% u' r9 G% G# g& w•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
! E5 v8 d/ U- g•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
3 I' `- h7 k* m( k3 n. N# z•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

) G& `% U9 F: R; v+ c•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
' r4 i5 F( Q4 S! ?! g% ~•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
% a' W0 O5 R4 q: L/ |' J0 \) s! z•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
