Key Responsibilities Include:
$ `/ k$ e$ r' i; B7 A' IActivity Planning and Daily Activity0 V0 n8 S% j3 x( i6 j5 E
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
. w* U) X b8 }; Q/ y3 d: |! C• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
* v% u' r9 G% G# g& w• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
! E5 v8 d/ U- g• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
3 I' `- h7 k* m( k3 n. N# z• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.& P3 z/ c. h4 j9 y) F! x
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.$ w# R6 t5 d- F
6 O8 W7 ~" j1 [2 D" L" \+ Z9 nThe successful candidate will have:
) G& `% U9 F: R; v+ c• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
' r4 i5 F( Q4 S! ?! g% ~• Experience with children( u4 w Q) @6 S8 C! j; `* ?9 ]
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth 9 Q% k3 E2 \* C m! p
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.% }" p5 V; }& K( X
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.9 n) G' i0 ?, m# \ t' Q+ G
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources: Z# `; M4 k, w9 r3 ]; m
• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
% a' W0 O5 R4 q: L/ |' J0 \) s! z• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check + W( \8 b7 ?6 n1 ]$ B* Y, T
