* Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory2 t* ]0 O9 h0 Z* H' m
* Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr* H) R9 \) o& q' T2 u
* Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps; V# J) z) I4 V: O+ t& \3 v
* Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations' M7 C5 m- V. }8 b! S% q
* Trains users on the mass spectrometer and reduction calculations

Qualifications' ~2 f$ i& z" A' S% y
\8 W q" _: B$ S" k1 @+ G+ T8 G
* Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred
3 |+ F W% o4 e# K * Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation3 ?5 S9 Q/ h5 f& f/ W( P5 f
* Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers

* Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset( H% o @* K8 W3 z& T) a
