Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to: 0 e3 s+ X( s3 Q

Duties: Special Events
& \2 r+ \$ F$ F2 c$ OPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
$ ?. |$ A1 x8 G! \2 p, L· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee " M8 n+ H! G+ h( _8 D* n4 w! y" `
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
) ?- h% K9 t. m; }* A1 y) twith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
( O( Y# B: Z' R1 \# A0 kadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
! U- S0 a. [6 _5 u* o- d8 jset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
+ r9 Q j% Q: F N2 L. q6 t· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
9 e; i0 d q" V8 b5 k+ i% k· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
O/ r& R/ R l: M& z· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers 7 f; U! X' y7 j
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers / M; a+ u- V# w
· Complete program administration, statistics and records 1 B% B4 f8 }1 p5 m, J3 n* Y. R
! s/ }$ B+ E3 {4 P/ q3 K
Qualifications:
2 X7 z# k: ~) _+ k3 U# W5 q· Completion of 12th$ J( r" h; L$ w5 Y
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation / i8 R. H+ u0 A9 m" @3 B
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. 5 p* I. M4 k s; a5 r; @
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct . q& e9 J8 ?8 q% l$ ?& F
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events % G9 U% x0 g, E9 d: q& a2 k
· Experience working with and managing volunteers ) p6 I% B6 n( |
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors 6 T- U, p& H( O3 }! B
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events 4 z1 S5 m, M& [3 |' I% \2 Y& w
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
