· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee / y0 j4 r9 r, _. Q: j/ |
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
9 u. n# h4 m: N" s9 Nwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the - @, h6 j( P3 ^6 S' x, `3 c A- E
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure : G+ a6 d( b6 ~; Y- s* M
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Duties: Volunteer Coordination * O1 i9 D( c! V; Y5 M! i
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: , i1 T& e, F9 z4 l& i2 ^0 T; x( r
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions 0 Q, s/ x; Q0 ~* r- o$ `
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
( ?0 @' J5 X3 L Z6 Z* u1 L; |3 s4 ~% n· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
# |& t9 F, W! l& n. V; \" s" R' p· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 0 ?: ^# _/ @) P; z. c
· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications: + J3 G9 T2 e } D6 v
· Completion of 12th: c% ?7 M, q& [& `
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
# i0 C' _& w5 n, ZAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. . G! d- V; f; T/ R) i8 Z
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct 1 N( ]% q# t, P3 b6 k8 j2 a
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events $ Y# \* W9 ~9 u+ R9 ^" M
· Experience working with and managing volunteers
" M) w+ O" z0 a+ k" T/ c· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors 1 y! N" b F) p I1 M& b
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events

· Security Clearance
