EDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants.

! ^5 g$ _2 G: u- c# aPolice say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.& Y% E4 B& `6 W! d$ |* a' Y! G

Officers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.- a) G2 B* m# G

Police say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.

' H) t, l8 e U- k/ G) l; ]1 v% nRoughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.
