2 V2 Y/ s/ K3 \# xTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
0 r3 S! b0 C- B. k•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
  R  J$ j% ~) S+ c•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
- Z* h  A5 b+ v5 o% j•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
5 ?1 l& Z  z+ P$ f) R! Z•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
& g* G$ M% o# n0 |- L$ M+ F•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

5 X& S/ W0 J0 k9 c•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

4 `/ J7 b/ F/ o3 ]The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
