THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

5 g! F$ _# q" A, J/ x! Q* lThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
5 O; K5 P4 K9 _1 N0 z+ eEligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
, \5 p1 l( }, `0 S•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
: g/ A2 p+ p9 ?6 E8 K! U: ?' b4 \•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
8 u" p  \3 f7 N•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
3 K& \# ~6 r1 [- x6 a9 W7 A- |•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
& [! R' d; O" \% t3 g+ ~•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
" W- P5 \& w; E+ r: F! p$ E) L1 \6 D•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
2 I1 p; p: S0 H# d9 ~5 g+ AThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
