: V! S  V# K( I3 M' E# XTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
! W& N, T) Z6 c/ L' ?& xThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
$ V. K1 n( {. }' t) `: J: I/ k0 xEligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
" R& Z: D& |. a& V" e•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
& G8 h6 k) ^4 f•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
4 b  X9 U! p% J3 }& V( F•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks

Time Commitment
/ @% G9 N1 Y, NThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
