Is it possible to have 2 Grade 9 in Canada

My son is a student of Grade 9 in Junior High School. His English is not good engough to understand in the class. We prefer him to have Grade 9 for another year. It is possible to retain the some grade for another year in Canada? Thank you for your response!

there will be ESL classes for your son in high school

don't waste time in Junior High.
