Field Operator - Balzac

Position Overview  
) M0 |; c; z& ~- \5 T The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).

-  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
9 x" Y8 Z" ]9 J  |/ T+ g5 W" Z9 A; x-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
3 |# t9 p2 W; _7 {6 ]-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
% v* h; \9 J& @) v; r9 S3 \-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

Education/Experience  
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
! a  G) C, S" i-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
' T; k& H  \: o: V/ [0 W! n-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
; d% L3 Y: y. |-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
: l* U, _( C; r, B' A3 }-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
