Field Operator - Balzac

Position Overview  
The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
Job Duties/Responsibilities  
  b" ]) u# d' U2 O/ M: T8 \- l -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
" t5 g7 ~4 q  W& y! ?: e-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
9 j5 X, \9 i6 U+ n2 k1 B& d-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
1 `: i; l. v6 Y  j-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
  B3 c  u1 P9 S/ p-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

- Q) i: a* t9 c - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
3 k' i- f1 D- \0 u; B1 H4 y-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
3 g2 \' l9 m. R( v5 ^$ S-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
: w' V0 G* |1 B0 ^# ^) v- j-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
