Position Overview  
4 C# M- a" J5 K7 L2 [9 F# G7 c The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
, m; W. y. T0 C( n( }Job Duties/Responsibilities  
-  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
- Q. h! U' x% e& U) r7 H0 N-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
! H, F  E+ E$ i$ m: f1 v% E-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
  `8 ^2 i, B' H3 {! U: f-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

Education/Experience  
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
  R7 W$ O. ~" H- k' ~" J9 V-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
6 D' b/ Q$ E0 ?- T- ]' T& N-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
! M- V0 g# @. _  b) t; Y7 {5 @-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
& W  q. F2 \  W7 _-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
