. z7 M) r7 r2 U5 r4 n The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
5 M% o: r' ~6 r$ \Job Duties/Responsibilities  
-  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
7 G8 c2 Q8 f! o-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
0 `3 j' u$ ~: u1 V-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
0 c5 Y: a# |2 F, @( H$ M( z-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
! [5 e3 m9 Z: D7 ~0 q# L5 Q-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
9 l# {* a( g" R3 i8 ^4 L: }! i9 P-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
  {, S4 S; Q4 n; C, K) H: d( g-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
