Field Operator - Balzac

Position Overview  
The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).

5 L# M9 @; n4 W5 T! X; B4 M2 W -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
3 r0 ?& r+ @9 X6 Q* Z-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
7 s. z& Y  x# r8 i& B' U5 ^! @6 _-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
" j' b9 q9 Q( N; C-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
& l( g( o1 c; X-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

4 w7 y- e: f9 N1 e4 ] Education/Experience  
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
3 G4 z4 v/ e. [- O1 a4 T% s- `" z& U-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
$ K, u- E6 u: F; @4 T, F) }* [-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
