Position Overview  
4 q) \/ c- M, K7 R, S: C  V* C+ b The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).

: i9 \3 r! C" F/ I4 P9 y2 ^ -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
6 Q6 O9 U3 Z% K/ k8 }4 }. c5 }* C) U+ ~-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;

* L% Z; o- m" n) ]- P7 A1 Z  r) P5 C - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
2 x' q2 m5 z4 a; f7 _-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
+ u+ @7 P; X5 @4 e-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
' r: u4 E# I, {$ i+ ~8 q7 e+ Q8 I-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
1 o8 M8 c& V+ x! Y-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
7 o, V' m/ }1 t% s2 d+ e3 H0 e-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
