Starting on Thursday, November 5, Alberta Health Services will focus on H1N1 vaccination of children aged 6 months to under five years as of November 1st.  On Friday, November 6, we will expand the program to include pregnant women.

# O8 w- x$ X4 H: C( e5 BHealth care workers who provide direct "hands on" patient care or those who have face-to-face interactions with patients will  also continue to be immunized.

: m& X# u5 v5 [At this time, the vaccine will not be available to other Albertans. When more vaccine becomes available from the manufacturer, the targeted immunization program will be further expanded to other high-risk groups. Details will be announced as more information becomes available with respect to the supply of vaccine.

All Albertans who want to be immunized will have that opportunity when increased supply of the vaccine arrives from the manufacturer. To ensure vaccine can be provided to high risk groups, no exceptions will be granted. |
