Position Title: Outreach Worker

Job Description
$ _8 ^ Q9 u) }" a- promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
$ Q ^& o$ g/ E5 S; y; L- promote Centre and ISP programs in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc., {+ }1 s! Q3 q7 q$ N O% _
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre J+ H( _9 G. [6 {6 E
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members9 h& B" Q# @+ g2 B
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
& m" K" u/ O7 o; J- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
0 F( ?: J9 P2 p6 ^* H a- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
, m6 A; b# F- N A7 |- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals1 a. V" S2 J5 ?# Q8 h& t& y
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.& A! I. i, _# Z9 x
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities7 Q$ x/ y$ D9 Q/ y' o
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned8 [: B, O; Y4 R$ v
- other duties as assigned

Qualifications
4 G$ f+ M5 g5 B6 w- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
! t; q* }+ O3 d7 a- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available- k s+ t& I1 @
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
6 q( b4 O. B: z( j1 E; h6 Z6 {: v) K- fluent in English and Chinese
- o6 {0 m6 h+ H- good interpersonal and people skills3 ^" `7 x/ X1 L' X3 F' n) H
- valid driver’s license
