Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.
Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).

Responsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
9 P9 T5 H. X' n3 g-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health


6 F, L6 Z7 ]. L( d" k" i& pKey Qualifications:
* D+ w  Q% Q# H/ e-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
0 S3 M( c0 m- g  E-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
. s6 t# k  a* k6 g7 u-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license


Assets:
2 {' t. [0 ?0 n: ?-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
% t# a4 W5 W2 \) p5 r3 c1 y-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
