Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.

Responsibilities:+ }. t7 L5 }6 z6 S9 r4 w
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
5 _! y, c4 S4 M {- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling* g# a9 H- h! P
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups. J) [9 N6 k6 l+ q, d: x+ W* U
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs+ C' y; D" [& P: v P6 b7 p
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

/ v5 y$ R1 Z$ A) D, i3 m' pKey Qualifications:
: ]. o6 Z4 }' V( o- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
' v5 j. R" c4 m' w2 [4 E- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
% `6 c x* I) ]3 b0 l- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others4 |; f' | b0 b5 P: S3 a: r
- Experience doing program development+ N- w1 s* z y# `/ X$ F' N/ X0 p
- Strong organizational and coordination skills* |2 J1 W. ~# V- y) p) i
- Self-directed and able to take initiative- m% A1 w5 m% f, p7 Y; M' i& B7 U
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset4 l3 U, k! c: d7 k" C3 E
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation; I1 M! M# l$ g4 \; ^% }) \
- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
