Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.

2 }) _, O o2 D% |7 L0 p' M9 x% ^7 V- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth, x" d! a3 \/ m% u d
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling6 u4 O9 G% |5 g1 n4 @, e1 l8 G! @
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
( N7 M |0 E) g- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
I: m( f0 i* E: r {! V- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

3 d9 x% ?3 ^( _8 i% E" n. j$ J& \- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences' P+ ~+ e, D8 x! \% U- ^; R
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
. Q1 }0 \" L/ M7 b! ^ {- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others% V" m8 f, A' w# W# Q2 d
- Experience doing program development
7 |% m! s4 i/ \1 T0 u# w- Strong organizational and coordination skills3 X1 z; P2 V+ G# K7 O6 O) B- i
- Self-directed and able to take initiative N2 q; j U3 g. A
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
' Y+ J h, v: |9 S0 I8 @- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation

- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health# }6 e3 h* v) Y9 G
- Skills in marketing & promotions
