CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

No one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.

Q4 R9 n6 n* d# bThe energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.# o5 T D" ?# L% Q; N" @2 ^$ a5 ^ \% u
8 s/ V5 d5 D4 S. I4 Y' SSuncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
