CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

No one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.5 k) M# J4 }, H% ]/ E; w

According to Reuters, Suncor could not specify how much crude the unit was producing before the incident.) s5 Y+ M; X7 p1 b7 G3 K9 o
