March 7th: the University of Alberta Museums’ annual Science Sunday for kids!

On Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the University of Alberta Museums present the annual Science Sunday, an afternoon of discovery for kids aged 5 to 12.* z" m; s1 F# h9 i! v/ U
! ?: ?, t3 N7 {' h* q1 [, |Bring your children, grandchildren, or young friends to explore the natural sciences through a wide range of hands-on activities, including:
5 p; U! ^; \9 I6 X
8 ^( C- B# P; Q& L6 hlearning about animal noises with John Acorn, the Nature Nut
3 _$ e9 }2 u- t! _digging for and examining fossils # C5 b- O2 E& `! |) k
exploring the impact of meteorites on the surface of the earth
# N( o z5 ^1 ~3 n @investigating insects + V& k% c# m& m0 W8 v

“Junior researchers” can drop in any time during the afternoon with an adult chaperone to participate. Pre-registration is not required. Admission is by donation.
