Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:
" ?8 m& X- E& B7 K After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again. . d: i8 [$ N+ O/ m- r7 J+ F& X
It is a cycle.

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
9 P1 J$ C9 f% m9 F1 E: SSwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
! F4 i$ l% B" s6 u& Y/ _) [The problem should be inside the bucket.. O1 l5 H% f3 \: \+ L* T1 w

When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.5 h, k4 a7 ]$ M6 U; `* U& a
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
6 z3 @/ Y7 }- L: x2 ]Confirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.. s( ]8 L8 N" p, ?' v
, W) d2 U) X8 \9 i" J+ IThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.( s# C. ]' O- t1 S; q5 O
They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.
3 Z2 H- l% c1 ?! w9 t$ b It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.

! K/ }5 ]% ]9 C' _8 bThe coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.
