The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
5 B6 H# H# Q; a+ d§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times

§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert: j5 s" l- @ G0 ]! [+ L6 R
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). * }) e7 m: M3 e4 _ n, m0 p& z

§ Manage a stable local IT environment

§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
- n* \2 O4 K3 j0 L§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
# O4 Y8 c% o% u9 u, P, V% b" v§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
. a5 ^8 c4 ~' G+ ~. [; E§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
( k; [( Q! B5 q5 }! Q§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access* t7 w: ], f8 w7 s2 F4 N
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures2 f7 [2 r% u F: l) d3 h$ t" K
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan5 P' A( J0 u6 o- U/ m7 w Q' Z

§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management

§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT

Qualifications:
