During the Christmas season, summer and its body-conscious state of mind

pleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then

?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out : A+ w- C0 R* I2 K+ B# \
at a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem
! h$ g+ K. t/ f  h& Rto be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of . J6 m' F0 s" F3 g
moderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a , i7 x/ q. R- b: J5 S
Budget.'7 ^# }/ q9 {$ ^& u8 {6 `/ U6 {

are offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays
. q6 e$ u* h* ^, \/ A( Despecially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more
8 J' C3 V2 I: M5 M, h3 U6 I/ f6 a1 nrelaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower. ( \1 J0 u1 q8 s7 \+ G
?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to
( J2 I, d2 d, {- Hsubstitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with 2 i8 O1 r+ g# \0 b9 c
breakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie, / t$ j; ~* Z9 N6 j
from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to
$ Z% r: M0 G4 o" mtell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into : e+ K4 r) G7 g% _  S' C
play. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will
+ f7 @! s: s1 p9 E! ]7 |be watching how you really eat. You can always have a few candies, one cookie or
) x, V( ~5 I+ t' y# [$ Pa cookie and a half by your desk and that way it will seem as if you are

( q% t' k% T  m1 i?Another strategy is to bring - bake or buy - low calorie Christmas cookies
9 |- ]# L/ U7 C) nand candies to work to counteract others that are being offered. Since eating
& Y9 Q: h% \% Q! P- T# ~( L6 ihealthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down
9 `5 a2 m% _$ }$ xupon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate 8 p* T# G+ u* X  e+ m# k* M8 a
candies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies.

the selections can be sampled. If the urge to try everything can't be resisted,
9 m' L) D, z0 y7 ]  [then do so, but then second helpings have to be severely limited. The same is
% e2 {4 N/ j: q* ?' V' G% T$ M& _somewhat true for Christmas Dinners. One big difference is that the food served

can always say truthfully that the stomach is full.
