Salary:         $40,462 - $56,410 per year, depending on education and experience.
Full benefits and pension plan.

& \4 i; K) ?( o: e/ }
6 @% V/ G, r9 I. C6 D$ y. d-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
" A  F! y8 x% A1 g0 P/ g! d, a" y-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities

Organize Leadership Training Sessions
" ]5 w# h! ], X-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
5 `4 @5 L: U, a- x% {1 A8 \2 P-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings
- y' h9 \9 r# D) e( D) T& a-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas

) E) I9 b! Q. x6 J5 n- APlan and Facilitate identified public events

-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project

-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations

-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

$ J5 A' C- p1 c4 DReports to Funders and Program Manager
-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder

' {7 A# |! I+ S, YProject Evaluation
-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model


Qualifications for this Position

-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society
-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
-        experience with project coordination

-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
