Recruit Participants

, }- E$ S6 e9 @% s-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities

/ L' @% l8 K1 U1 f% v- H: w6 FOrganize Leadership Training Sessions
-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
; o: R& F( E. o: ^-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings
-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas

Plan and Facilitate identified public events
, e: W8 a/ t9 J& }-        with youth participants
! P% z3 T+ R( h) n
% y% z& k( c: x7 q+ dMedia coverage
-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project

& x# C! k3 e3 kNetworking
-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
9 l6 c) E) T+ \) d5 N+ C-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations

/ ?# x9 f, s9 @. w( ]( A3 d2 u$ D-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

5 Q% j* I  T8 C1 L4 v. B1 pProposal Creation
-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

Reports to Funders and Program Manager
5 `! m, a: U1 i8 G6 ]-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder

Project Evaluation
-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
. k3 v  ?0 L& i7 _. ^8 z3 f-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model

" O7 Q* P- A* M3 T5 O' b-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society
-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
; m9 i) D' _6 q/ u* r+ s-        experience with project coordination
-        degree or diploma in human services field
-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
