* 74% bought an existing home; 22% bought new construction9 ^, R- H8 J0 D1 C! x0 Y0 d
* 55% purchased a single-detached home; 18% bought an apartment condo- h% V/ E% y4 _2 P+ I$ x4 u, j) \0 d
* 5% of households intend to buy in 2010; 53% of those are renters6 x/ z9 X4 F0 s9 Q
* 42% of those intending to purchase plan to make a down payment of 20% or more.
