MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

* S4 ^8 m3 B- J* q; m! lReporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
( _; {; `  W3 S! Y0 t- ?4 G3 w        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

- ?* _) G: {0 o7 S$ B# m  w2 KQUALIFICATIONS:
- _/ z% _0 M; m2 D) r•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
1 Z$ W6 o7 y6 l( f5 A' M•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
/ p1 I( U8 N7 \7 I0 @% p2 S% s# L( K•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
* _( F$ s* C  E•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
