9 {- j# E8 d; p2 q- ~8 L/ `Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.7 _9 n$ c; U' ]/ C/ D

7 w; n# e. m# }: E) K Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
9 S$ P0 B# O: E4 ` Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
* D) e3 h+ V! _: f2 w Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
/ Q4 v1 P+ d2 p, z7 s1 F7 T+ i9 t Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients: U F9 p6 U4 n7 ~9 F0 U+ t0 j, E
9 A$ \" A* I* T3 J3 J1 BQUALIFICATIONS: $ g( N+ r, j$ d; o
• Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
: b$ v% W6 D. J& {' Q/ s% \4 q& q5 F• Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings* B% R- k+ [5 J2 a5 t: E) }
• Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
! O+ Z) m j3 T+ ?4 {: y! w" g• Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset4 |# F3 z0 p0 S U: K0 \
• Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process: z2 S6 r0 [: _5 R
• Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects7 b& L) [7 G8 g4 C& U
• Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office! d9 d5 y2 K1 L; f& a! @+ p2 ?
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
; N/ D& e( k& X8 P. p* e K+ C/ R• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
