Gas Development is comprised of natural gas business development, Enbridge investments in existing gas infrastructure and investments in long-term gas development initiatives.  The Group currently manages investments totaling $1 billion, with earnings of approximately $100 million.   This new Senior Business Advisor position will report directly to the Director Finance & Control, Gas Development.  The position will work closely with Business Development Management to ensure financial planning models for existing businesses reflect the most current commercial & economic outlooks.  This position will also develop initial financial models, and analyze risks and opportunities, related to potential new businesses identified by Gas Development.

8 s( S) z4 Y% J3 Y9 r" d Maintain and analyze financial models of existing Gas Development investments to ensure financial performance meets corporate expectations; where appropriate, identify opportunities to optimize commercial values;

: h5 D2 v0 i' z6 Z+ h  x3 }Work closely with Gas Development Management to ensure financial models reflect current commercial contracts and economic / financial outlooks;

Ongoing risk assessment and determine impacts for financial planning;

Liaise with senior financial representatives from partners/JVs to ensure an understanding of key financial/commercial issues and the impact to financial results and forecasts;

9 c' M  b; Z+ PWorking closely with Gas Development Management, will develop initial financial models and evaluations of natural gas infrastructure opportunities valued in the range of $100 million to $1 billion+;

) u3 V( h+ R- `/ ~( X5 pWork closely with Senior Advisors/Managers of Corporate Development & Investment Review to ensure consistency of financial evaluation techniques for new opportunities and ensure clear and timely communication of project risks and opportunities;
& [- o/ E+ I% P3 b' IManage the input of various Corporate Departments in assessing new and existing capital investments;

, k/ S3 [$ y* [0 H2 v: t% qProvide financial support for investment proposals to Senior Gas Division & Enbridge Management;

Specific responsibilities include: preparation and review of financial models; managing the financial assessment of commercial structures and operating environments, provide advice on key financial assumptions; and assess opportunities & risks of current / proposed investments; determination of asset values/bid prices; use of appropriate valuation methodologies; and due diligence reviews.

Assist Director in developing and analyzing financial results and forecasts (annual budgets, forecasts, and long range plan).  
Qualifications  
Business/Finance Degree coupled with an MBA, CFA or accounting designation.

5 l" u) w# r1 g* i  v' e10-15 years financial experience at progressively senior analyst/advisor levels within the energy industry;

1 \, |3 j- O/ q4 `Gas industry experience preferred;

Extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, financial planning or strategic planning;
% M6 E2 F! ?% H1 p
Experience in business evaluations and due diligence with respect to large scale energy projects;
& R' z2 s6 O! y# l' X( S4 ~
. d& U9 X: ?" \0 F, X/ ?7 QStrong business acumen, collaboration and interpersonal skills;
