Essential Qualifications: excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society; experience facilitating educational sessions using participatory techniques; demonstrated leadership abilities with youth; experience with project coordination; degree or diploma in human services field. Preferred: knowledge of immigrant or Aboriginal culture and/or language; experience with functioning of non-profit society.

Recruit Volunteers – facilitate on-going recruitment of volunteers to participate in the core group of PA; this is done by inviting members of groups who are being presented to, making contact with other youth groups, and by print media, broadcast media, and e-mail invitations.

+ ]' p% u" D" LTraining – facilitate weekly meetings of core group volunteers. Training in participatory techniques, presentation techniques, and knowledge of race-related issues.

, H6 V7 M6 r3 h' y: z) a4 X4 JOrganize Presentations – advertise presentations through distribution of brochures and posters and by contacting interested groups and schools by phone, email, and mail; take requests for presentations, set up dates, and ensure adequate volunteers are present to facilitate discussion.5 f; q! O- c8 @# f# h( {
% f; M% V( d$ u n( M; j
Networking – attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate; create/maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations./ N7 m. }2 p, {3 c6 a
( H" n$ w4 E# c1 u4 \Professional Development – be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

Proposal Creation – with program manager, create proposals to all funders of this project. Ensure criteria for each funder is met in each proposal. Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators. 9 y+ b1 E5 a4 v3 R/ @% r
' ?- \6 g7 a j; Z, P9 vProject Evaluation & Reports – submit timely monthly, quarterly, annual reports and include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model.
