+ T! n( k5 K! n- S: [The Desktop Support Team Leader is a supervisory/advisory position that is responsible for the support of the City of Edmonton desktop environment, including geographical support City wide:

· Supervising a team of technical staff, which will include staff recruitment, setting performance expectations, evaluations, mentoring and coaching.
& l; l0 ?' R- q! O8 t; ^2 W
· Planning, coordinating and allocating staff to ensure effective & efficient support of City desktops.

2 g5 L$ L7 E9 L6 M) I% i" Z· Working with other operational areas in maintaining an ever evolving desktop support model.

6 I. g$ c/ l' \: }5 I7 ^  u· Ensuring the Desktop Support Area is meeting /exceeding performance expectations defined in Service Level Agreements, by providing essential metrics for performance monitoring.

· Performing quality assurance for work performed, in response to customer requests.

6 X7 k: @4 a6 B+ r2 m: U· Researching, planning, producing and presenting technical recommendations by formal reports.

: R; [. X" @; A' @& A9 Z% j· Establishing standards, procedures and documentation for the Desktop Support area.

· Maintaining a strong team atmosphere, while ensuring proper communication exists.

% b. l! Y1 [3 G$ @JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Degree or Diploma in Computing Science from a C.I.P.S. accredited institution.

· Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible work in systems development that would include supporting a desktop environment.

& d+ R6 J& {$ q7 f! `( ~  I8 R7 j) q· Experience in supervision, leading,and managing a team of technical experts is essential.

# w/ S8 p, i) c- G3 W* q9 W; i( j+ v· Demonstrated expertise in streamlining of processes to improve operational efficiency.

33.75 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.

$ R0 O& u$ w, d21M, Salary Grade: 038, $37.02 - $46.76 (Hourly), $2,498.99 - $3,156.37 (Bi-Weekly), $65,223.51 - $82,381.19 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
