我在国内上大学、研究生学的是化工机械专业，毕业了在中石化的一家炼油厂做了7年检维修，之后到上海做了2年。来加拿大一年半了，现在在一家铝焊丝生产厂做机器操作工。很想找回自己原来的行当，做项目工程师。Fort Mcmurray有很好的机会，怎么才能够找到一份入行的工作呐？

最终只有一个结果，我们胜利了。没有胜利，就是还没有最终结果

我电话面试的OPTI Canada，还没有消息。原来说的是2周内会告诉结果。到2005年11月24日就是两周。电话面试完了，我写了Thank-you letter的E-mail跟进，结果还在等待中。

另外就是有中介的一个机会，需要明天先打电话联系。

7 M. [9 W& i+ KThe requirement of a project engineer is not as much as that of a project manager. I am applying to a project engineer. And just got a  negative answer as follows.

"Thank you for applying for a position with Opti Canada, but I regret to inform you that after careful consideration, we will not be extending an offer or an in person interview for the position of “Project Engineer” at this time.   However, we retain all the resumes on file for up to one year.  I would like to thank you for your time and interest in Opti."

9 a' Z) j9 _/ v4 K; |1 OEven the project engineer needs to talk a lot if it working location is in the field. If the position only deals with the project design, not the on-site construction, maybe there is less requirement of communication.

! C9 l  j* \& X1 [% K, t0 R# ^Reading a book Winning Cover Letter reminds me that a good cover letter is as important or more important than the resume.

It is my third day of job hunting.

# l7 C6 G7 U; Z, [+ B/ e7 Y* eWinning Cover Letter is a good book I am keeping reading today. On the way home, I went to the library to get the Winning Resume.

2004年6月9日来加拿大。

在多伦多downtown住过9个月的地下室。
- X* h/ `& T" `( t
1 g3 L3 t8 _" U/ E6 y在Mississauga找到上一份工作后，搬到Mississauga。一家人和别人分租公寓，一年多。

现在是自己一家人住着这个2室一厅的Apartment。是我从出生以来，所住过的最好的房子。哈哈，我在中国混得也不怎么样。
3 j9 _9 R, Q( O) @4 O+ y
" K: [% {' V0 g上一周刚买了一辆Toyota Echo，2000年的，20.4万公里。上任车主每天开高速往返Burlington与Mississauga。我们是第二个车主。买车都是太太在张罗，太太的功劳。

晚上聊起来，意外地发现，买车的日子刚好是我们来加拿大2周年的日子。

) ?9 P1 @& J( G) ~# ~, M" h. L( ~2 ?想起几天前在网上看到该不该来加拿大的讨论，我觉得移民加拿大是一个过程，先苦后甜。性格决定命运，不管收入多少，喜欢先苦后甜的过程，就应该来加拿大。

0 H/ p% I& l" V1 I- O谢谢版主一直以来的支持和鼓励。我不会轻言放弃，打好基础，最终一定会建起高屋大厦。
