Key Responsibilities & Duties:
# Y6 W3 X' h, @3 S2 j3 u
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
! `: D6 A) }$ {6 X1 u+ Z Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
5 Z; V9 S$ X% R# V7 [; M" b, _8 F( g Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
8 \6 W& ?" `+ I! V3 t1 c/ l Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
* U; }4 s) q. H- }& W Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
& w) n9 [/ N4 y% J Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

$ ]  T3 h5 h! W8 C% N& RThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
3 _) |4 v) ]7 ^9 i: |starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
