6 S# Y6 f/ s6 `Key Responsibilities & Duties:

$ p- M% D8 T9 U8 b! b8 H$ u Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
9 H$ a# ~2 c: s6 O" K Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
2 v+ v5 p" J7 [: b Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
. o5 k; Y( k6 j Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
, @  D/ }5 g" G0 q. k3 S; i( ] Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
8 d: X" G% U( G Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
; M5 b# z! L1 N1 ~% K Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

% Q1 b* Q* S0 [! Y; _7 v
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
! Z. Z. H; u  p- }. [* [ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
8 F; U7 f+ p$ o# b Knowledge of community resources.
0 R. v! F' H  _! W2 G' y$ N Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

+ D* b. c. L+ tPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
2 P+ W  V, \! b; P: f4 _( Jstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
