Key Responsibilities & Duties:
6 r1 ], c4 Q, g3 G: E) g3 @0 ^' T
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
" J9 r/ Q9 Q0 b1 ~( j% e Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
& V2 l: @' ~- }" L& d Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
7 g$ V; G+ @/ d1 V" v2 V& m Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
" Z5 D4 ?5 C/ W4 P  y Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
# w. |+ u! h" d- R6 r. Y Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
  ]6 Q: b7 L, E% _$ U; X Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
/ |3 Z0 H: q. m% ~ Knowledge of community resources.
% i% y' M/ i. d* p6 T3 @* L Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
