 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
: D& g# B9 O+ S5 D& U1 Z. c. y Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
' T7 T% u5 A9 t4 Q& S0 G Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
' w0 I! H3 l2 i. `. J Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
3 f7 ~+ [# F5 F# o0 m& v7 z Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
  F: ]6 q2 k4 R! M0 h0 D2 n5 ^ Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
% L0 o0 }- q5 ^; Z( g
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
, N1 \1 h0 \* ]3 R2 { Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
  }8 q* I$ ^8 K1 l# i, w( r Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
+ H8 G1 {4 I8 d, F6 Z. a Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
