 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
' X0 S8 t! |3 D, i% W Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
. W* J$ `3 t6 C) K; j! k Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
8 e3 H$ R7 t3 Y8 r% u& _- k Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
/ @6 r% S& R, M/ p" |, K; b0 A2 V Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

: |; K% S* [1 C* F' z, U6 n! n Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
0 q7 [' ]0 h; B8 U Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

$ U5 }9 p% _; ?0 @This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
' S# o- \& n$ \: K9 [) wstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
