& S* H! w2 E& b Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
& k# m9 o* j  X, n0 T/ |) K Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
( x2 [7 P3 X) h6 A Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
! G! w- t* z+ w5 U: C Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
7 X9 [% Y* E! [& j  D5 N/ J Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
' w' b) L& G8 Y4 L1 i: `$ \ Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

2 {, z" S( o$ s: u2 O& E9 w& u4 a Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
) q. y) z; N; V1 w4 |5 S1 q Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
* m$ x: ?6 A2 @7 L  j' D& `# j) G, @ Knowledge of community resources.
( N& B: m5 H( n- C Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
, A  E! S8 i& G9 P9 W: u8 \! V Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

3 w9 B. `1 K" t" GPosition:
' @9 C7 N  t9 c' X7 wThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
' p1 [; P8 Y  F3 astarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
