Major Responsibilities:+ o7 x( J- I: F+ E7 @+ U+ I& y
• Process research equipment design;
5 W( O, h" } ]0 f. d/ C- H/ O- n• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
4 K) L, ] q5 n1 @: |! q• Equipment fabrication guidance;
1 ~* {4 o$ x0 a) X: X5 O5 D• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;

4 n6 R( V4 {1 h# ?: d! q. b• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months. ( W" W% k$ j0 w" q( s2 P
• Equipment design experience is required;
0 F2 o4 C8 H; O, ]• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
* D3 T* Y5 A6 Y: _1 `' K• Familiar with CAD software;
, t4 K( u4 m% t9 l# z& j• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;8 R2 a* G( |3 T& B
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

; C% j" y3 l! ]+ ?* W# W+ CCompensation:/ j- m0 c M/ q, M
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term. , v: h: q0 s8 ~# f' D8 i% ^1 c0 X
