! K D) L' j- M9 r• Process research equipment design;
4 v' M; @- ^& z1 E# @• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
- x' I: K( R" h/ e- C7 X• Equipment fabrication guidance;' ]8 S7 ]* m, n3 {0 ~# y. o
• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
% k! B8 W( y1 U8 E& |% o• Others.# x: Q- O2 _) Z; O; }
0 o# m0 Z4 X2 yQualifications:
& ]6 y3 b* N$ G' M% r• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
4 X) f% e) ] f- g• Equipment design experience is required;
" o8 q j/ R% O0 p2 V• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
" Q, Q; d4 O- m4 F/ ^• Familiar with CAD software;- B3 i" {2 l, C3 z- \* x. w
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
) {+ S, ?$ r4 Z• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.
+ W# C$ u/ h% d' {' P/ G0 g O1 G
Compensation:
4 ?2 D& ]* @- V8 c% BSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
