Major Responsibilities:$ {' }" {0 u/ q4 }3 [% D
• Process research equipment design;* `, U- x1 U- n4 H
• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;+ T2 w7 K: T& o. T( r$ ^
• Equipment fabrication guidance;/ ^) a/ W( A$ Q& n
• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;* F% p1 A% d, K! L
• Others.

) S0 @* s4 @; h% T) IQualifications:4 J* [4 ^6 h1 U: V7 m" p% W1 r
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months. & w6 [, V/ Q' q3 o) p
• Equipment design experience is required;0 E2 Z% U/ Q- |
• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
; s+ G6 c( w6 i3 h4 g) k0 a( k• Familiar with CAD software;
2 L1 ^' W8 F# R3 b7 d, w' |• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;; ~: e: c+ Y# J$ X0 Y( x
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.- \% I# ` B% |. o. Q1 N

Compensation:3 x. T9 U7 ^ h: R" C
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term. m7 [! W8 e, b
