  I1 n# J4 A) O& r7 v# FMajor Responsibilities:
: M7 h/ S7 @6 k) _+ A•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
0 f/ I$ Y, s. W- d$ @) D& u& w# C•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
1 F2 I" \8 o) V•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.
) P' j; N( e3 s% R0 b* p4 [0 g
Qualifications:
% `6 q, u1 J- L% J7 H•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
, J# K1 l7 R+ W+ G' w4 f+ D•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
