Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

& J/ p) g2 q  g% LWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
2 B( o4 T. `9 P: t! V  YReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
3 d+ E. I( @5 K+ p# r# DMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

Qualifications
$ B& V$ H& C5 k! v
  }3 w0 M4 i' NGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
( N- x  c- f$ IMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
8 T( b/ X' z6 CMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
  O* j$ I, {9 U' X" K' W' mExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
7 l) B4 }2 H: [1 n4 ^Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
. A' k& n; ]4 G( V8 t5 EUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
1 o" m+ ]6 l3 OAbility to work independently as well as in a team
