Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

9 y  Y$ d- Z  F6 n0 lWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
& ~; h( O. o8 V3 X/ ]Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients  

. D/ O3 a) M+ S/ @1 oQualifications

9 x; U* e: I; e. z9 F* OGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
5 O. B/ [5 z5 T& n  ?% GMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
4 F; x1 `5 p4 S) gMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
" ^/ V, P6 n6 C5 K# f! x+ jExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
6 X3 K8 G0 |, b5 [- \1 [Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
" H0 A, {8 y8 j, E6 h: SCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
5 K) t; }5 @9 W; WAbility to communicate with all levels of management
& j: L, g) E+ t2 W7 eAbility to work independently as well as in a team
