正好刚看到一个类似的问题在别的英文论坛:4 e# V6 K3 U# ]; k. K+ c. Q$ S( M% d
: M% l7 f' b% G. Q6 ZF4 IS Vs. F2.8 non IS, 贴过来大家都评论评论。

- F! f6 C7 ~: ~( N$ LAnyhow, you pose a good question - f/4 IS or f/2.8 non IS. Here are the main points:
- m8 ~0 ?/ ^. H# }* h1 w+ E2 ^: }8 W' P1 r/ A& b2 k$ C
1) The f/2.8 gives you one extra stop of hand-holding possibility, but at the cost of depth of field, whereas the 4.0 gives you 3 stops of hand-holding possibility at any aperture. Winner: f/4./ z6 X) K# W7 K+ c( g
9 a( X, j9 R& z7 t. S- o, E7 H2) The f/2.8 gives you one extra stop of light in darkened conditions when photographing moving subjects. The f/4 doesn't. Winner: f/2.8.
2 k7 @9 i% i( u7 }1 h8 H9 Y; P) s$ {: c/ Y5 g
3) The f/4 is lighter and smaller. Winner f/4.% N' K* I# L, Y; |
! o+ Z9 ^" u+ |7 {2 X" a& F4) The wider aperture of the f/2.8 can offer more creative possibilities, especially when taking portraits. Winner: f/2.8.

# A4 f; D( }5 j0 d; } Q5 V5) The f/2.8 has better bokeh (creaminess of the blurred areas). Winner: f/2.8. |
