Key Responsibilities & Duties:

1 ~. L' ?; Y1 X5 X, d Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
  V" A, t( j2 a: B. m Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
6 T5 P! t5 T0 }- D* r- f3 K Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
  r8 b7 G" X( }2 l1 A Completing required paperwork.
/ k3 J9 Q. V: c7 k5 T3 h Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
2 x. L4 a/ D/ z; ^, x) r Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
9 v( ^( _1 g) J8 S; b' ? Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
; }+ Q: T! \- @* s9 s4 D Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
9 M$ G( v- s' R Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

# D1 Y, M9 S/ _$ A4 b2 Y* f Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
1 {8 M/ ~! n8 n. `1 J6 l Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
+ A) {" ?/ k: K( h Knowledge of community resources.
- K' O; E* o1 }# ~: h. x Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

$ F7 {2 N2 Z% k0 q' D3 |Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
