 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
, r8 m( `, D, h0 X \ Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.; g, V6 }/ K. T$ H1 Q6 F* U( l
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.5 _2 B2 o( n2 ?3 N* b. _
 Completing required paperwork.
+ t* V' D! s7 h: ~* }7 Q" l3 r3 Y Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.% N7 G) F4 \- j/ u+ K
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
# v* J2 T) V% {# g Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. ) {% S6 Y9 [- z7 w
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.) f$ T% s _+ l
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
4 t0 I$ L7 C# j* [) m Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills./ P' D& x4 G7 J: K3 {
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.. u+ A# ~/ s1 L( i
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
2 n. p0 a+ B; u6 ^6 _! a Knowledge of community resources.
0 g0 }) a7 N, g, {* B" O Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.* {2 p7 z9 V' }) s
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; / W& A s2 K9 a/ o' z+ v
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
