 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
7 ~) d$ e0 p9 \ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
3 F, Q, ^- ?9 E% i9 t1 F Completing required paperwork.
$ G$ I- L+ \5 O( e! I Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
7 z# f# M8 H9 G+ F, K" n% |. v Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
) c7 [: b8 \. Z  u) q" ^8 c! m Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
7 n7 R3 ~+ Z7 z" z5 d- i: J Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
/ p0 O) d2 b1 W  J, `8 M0 ^* [ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
6 Q; O! g9 d: s" B7 V* m+ ]% o6 I Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
0 `4 t0 y2 O, q2 y; L6 q! f Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

$ s# M9 o6 [) W3 E5 A" f1 L0 F+ Q7 @This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
, M; q  h6 w% d* r: U% H  t% dThere is a 3-month probationary period.
