Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
/ I  y" n' @/ [7 M Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
3 ]" V# n6 A" @& \: A% E Completing required paperwork.
7 w( `5 l) Y% z: C, |+ _8 Y Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
5 p8 V' Z0 b2 t2 W- w. e2 ? Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
7 w1 Z9 N% ^  p3 @3 n2 \5 a: \ Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

. A# f1 A  E2 `5 ` Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
( P: H# {$ V$ Y4 G8 x8 s Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
" U2 [* ^% r8 O Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
3 ?* U' w) p% [/ i/ t2 z1 E Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
* Z$ H' o" r& {& r& O Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
' p4 U  \+ [) H- yThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
6 b* Y. x6 u1 KThere is a 3-month probationary period.
