Key Responsibilities & Duties:

. Q& `. U; T$ s9 Q* T  n4 ~ Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
/ f6 F$ s: k- }- ]# K Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
9 y; d) \" I1 g8 X7 V Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
2 E% H5 [5 T) q3 I Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
! H* b8 L% _1 `! c+ }" i: r
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
1 q/ o) F$ \( _! o Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
. K, N( u/ x3 @% ^" a% j% k Knowledge of community resources.
1 O: c& C6 s6 D: {1 W# z: [ Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
" Y8 t6 a7 h) d2 S5 A Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
