Key Responsibilities & Duties:
' f% {( ^; i. O3 a# v
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
( \. r" C: [  |/ s/ p8 l$ o5 O) H Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
4 T" w" X2 R9 D0 T* K  Z Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
; T1 k- U- k  N6 q, l) i$ N8 t5 Y Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
* o2 |9 c) i, ]; T5 ? Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
: P0 l6 d& w2 ` Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

, D4 ^- R% c4 J/ h; `5 K
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
4 u" p: V: Z) @* [% Z' T  t' N Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
/ o" L3 q( j. Y( {' `. {; K; B4 a Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
' X6 X& K0 I- {. [: r Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

0 h; Q$ q0 q$ v  g" ]$ |* [8 u7 WThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
