City council is considering putting 30-kilometre-an-hour zones around some schools, after pressure from parents.

: h: A& {+ E/ l' V+ UAdministration officials have long argued that there is no evidence school speed zones reduce the danger for children.

The city hasn't used reduced speed limits around schools for more than 20 years.

"People are in a hurry, people are stressed out, they forget the speed limit and our children are very at risk when they are going to these places," she said.
