City council is considering putting 30-kilometre-an-hour zones around some schools, after pressure from parents.

" _1 T1 \. b' }6 F"This is simply adding it to our set of solutions," Rick Millican, general manager of transportation, said. "Council is not saying if they approve it, put a school zone everywhere someone wants on.

The city hasn't used reduced speed limits around schools for more than 20 years.
