City council is considering putting 30-kilometre-an-hour zones around some schools, after pressure from parents.

- D2 Q1 n/ G& A$ yAdministration officials have long argued that there is no evidence school speed zones reduce the danger for children.

# ^6 x% w0 t+ [4 M"This is simply adding it to our set of solutions," Rick Millican, general manager of transportation, said. "Council is not saying if they approve it, put a school zone everywhere someone wants on.
