Administration officials have long argued that there is no evidence school speed zones reduce the danger for children.

9 \5 e' P3 @4 d- K: _) }"This is simply adding it to our set of solutions," Rick Millican, general manager of transportation, said. "Council is not saying if they approve it, put a school zone everywhere someone wants on.

Patricia Grell, with the Woodcroft area school council, says every school and playground should have lower speed limits.
