City council is considering putting 30-kilometre-an-hour zones around some schools, after pressure from parents.

Administration officials have long argued that there is no evidence school speed zones reduce the danger for children.. I& J. a: ^' K( {

Patricia Grell, with the Woodcroft area school council, says every school and playground should have lower speed limits.

"People are in a hurry, people are stressed out, they forget the speed limit and our children are very at risk when they are going to these places," she said.
