Duties
" |2 c9 w% R$ oAssists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)& j! Q d& ^+ i
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
: L& ?% J/ F3 \$ B% Y, }6 JPerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed2 x7 {! n7 G3 r V5 B7 A
Performs related tasks as needed. }! \ P& c& q6 q" S- }
Qualifications
+ ]0 P7 X9 @7 g9 E' ^+ o2 kDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
! y1 h0 y4 ^% t: l/ O% FDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
* q. y# p" n+ Z# j- G4 M; qSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
4 t1 Z K9 q* f4 A1 PKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
3 k/ @3 ^8 j. p9 p I& i5 m* vFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
